Bernard VALLUIS’ short bio

Bernard VALLUIS is the President of the European Flour Millers’ Association since May 2016. He is also Vice-President of the French Millers Association (ANMF) and President of the French Information Centre on bread and flour (CIFAP).

After agronomic & economic sciences studies at the prestigious AgroParisTech, he started his career in 1966 as a Researcher at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) and also Project Manager to the Ministry of Economy. He has been Director-General of the French Corn Growers Association (AGPM), before joining the Soufflet Group in 1990, being successively PR Director, Director of the Trading Division and Member of the Group Executive Board.

Bernard has been President and/or Member of the Board of several trade associations like Symex, Synacomex, Euroflour, Euromaïsiers, Coceral and GAFTA. More recently, he has been a member of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) experts’ Task Force on Commodity Derivatives.
